    Have you read "the cloudspotters guide"by Gavin Pretor-Pinney? Yes his name makes him sound like a prat, but it is a great book. I if I could remember it properly then I could say what cloud formation is gracing the top of your blog. Some kind of cumulo-puftus thing...
