Happy Halloween!

Thomas the train and Lil' Stinker hit the streets tonight with some friends of ours.  (Namely, two Snow Whites, a knight and various parents).  Po-Ho seems ideal for the wee ones... streets are quiet, there are not many kids around, which, of course, means lots of candy for the few that venture out.

Sam has been experiencing a kind of generalized social malaise ever since we've been here, so I wasn't holding out much hope of success.  I put on his costume by telling him it was his coat and hat and the makeup by telling him it was face cream.  Chris started to say "Oh Sammy, you look so cute in your cos.." at which point I loudly shhhhuuuushed him and said "don't tell him he's wearing a costume!".

I was nervous at first, when this was what he looked like:
But, I must say, things got better.  He quickly got into the spirit, lead by Big Bro, and amassed quite an amount of candy in an hour's time.

Charley, as I'm sure you can see, had no qualms whatsoever.

Chris looks guilty at the self-serve bowl.  And also ashamed for carrying my purse.

Ol' Thomas takes a knee, and a breather while Stinky unloads his pail.  How many years do you suppose I'll get out of that train costume?  I'm betting on 5 more.  Yippee!

I did not get to see Miss Evy in the costumed-flesh, but here is a shot of her May-The-Force-Be-With-You awesomeness.

And Not-So-Little Jack, who's not a year old for another month, fills out his super costume just fine.  What a Bubba!

I'm sure the Ottawa cousins looked mighty cute too.  Send me pictures!!

Happy Halloween to all.
