Important duties

There are many important things to accomplish in early October:

 Hang with Dad at the fish ladder.

 Knowing ecological importance of milkweed, go to the patch and spread fluff far and wide!  It looked like it had snowed by the time we were done!

Celebrate milestones!  This little creature, in a completely self-directed way, was dry for nearly 2 days this week.  Cuts down on diaper use, that's for sure.  There's nothing like a second-born kid who tries to be like big Bro!  Of course, it's all about the 'standing up to pee' and I'm not sure how to convince him that he can't try and poop in that position.  Dare I say, I had a moment imagining a not-so-distant future with two boys in underwear!  No more diaper bag!  No more huge, heavy garbage bags of lethal-ness?  Gasp...

Can't.  Even.  Imagine.   Dare not discuss it further.

And, finally, enjoy the beauty of the season.  Clear, sunny days.  Cool, beautiful nights.   Why can't October be forever!?
