Letters to the man in red

After school, the boys and I wrote our their Christmas letters to Santa.  This is the first year we're 'doing' Christmas with the boys.  Until now I've been able to keep them in the dark about the crazy holiday season.  No more, my friends!  They know it, understand it and love it.    Oh well, had to happen some time!

So, we wrote out the letters (meaning they dictated and I wrote) with all their wishes.   Charley's involved a lot of diagrams.  Sam's just involved a lot of items.

Some highlights?

Charley asked for "trains".  Specifically, 'one engine and ten troublesome trucks'.  Hmmm, pretty sure he already owns this, but whatevs!

He also asked for a cow, a horse and a radio with legs (so it can dance, obviously!).  Specific!

Sam asked for many puzzling items, including chairs, a birthday party and some gummis.
Oh, and he wants a boy.  I don't know what this means (generic boy?) , but I'm pretty sure he'll be getting a digger instead.

The letters are hanging by the fireplace, awaiting the big day.

You know what I want for Christmas?  The strength to manage the two of them  for 2 weeks during school break!  It's been a few months since I've had them all to myself, you know.  I'm sure a few new trains and trucks (and dancing radios) will keep them well occupied.

  1. There are a lot of things to do in and around Po-Ho, with a little planning the time will fly. With a little help, you won't be completely worn out, and with some shared parenting (play-dates!) you may even get some time to yourself - heavy emphasis you "may" mind you!
