It's been a bit of a grey day here, so I had to really dig for the motivation to get the boys geared up and ready for a splashy outing. It was totally worth the effort.
Despite an overcast sky and the ugliness of March, these shots may prove to be some of my favourites this year.
You'll have to click for more pictures after the jump, because I didn't dare put them all on the homepage. I (no joke) took 206 in an hour.
Here's a selection:
Charley, doing a very Charley-esque run, bolts in the direction of puddles.
There's a big'un in the distance. Drawn to it like a magnet...
Sam afloat
Sam a-splash
Not to be outdone, Charley does a ninja move on some frail-looking ice. Seriously, who is this kid?
And again! He's looking rather co-ordinated here. (Oh wait... go back to the running shot above. Riiiiight.)
Cute as a button, despite very, very wet feet.
Some fishing was next on the agenda. They caught, if I remember correctly, a whale, a shark, various fish and one starfish.
The "Ganny" is really roaring by these days. All that rain and melt has made it rise considerably. I just kept doing everything in my power to distract boy-attention away from it's shores.
So, now I have a front hall full of drenched outer wear, but I also have two boys who ran hard enough to ask, no beg!, for dinner at 4:30. Oooh, early bed-time tonight!
Okay, I seriously adore them. BEYOND cuteness. I really want to stop in to see you guys on our way to Toronto one day.
