Zoo!

Yesterday was a hooky (hookie?) day!  Erin and I took the kids to the Toronto Zoo.  It was crazy, overstimulating, exhausting and lots of fun.  Sammy loved it all and Charley went crazy for the Zoo-Mobile (it is, after all, almost a train!).  Pyper has boundless energy and kept the boys in line.

I love hippos!

I think the hippos had been given some espresso and 4 Loko right before we got there.  I also think they used up their energy stores for the entire year.  Lucky us!

This series cracks me up.  Pyper wanted everyone to sit and "look pretty" (as she models in the first shot).  She notes her displeasure in the second shot, when the boys version of pretty does not meet her standards.  Third shot is a roar of disapproval.  Fourth shot says "That's it, I am outta here".

Pyper demonstrates her monkey face, and slight lethargy at the end of a long day.  The zoo has 10 kilometres of walking trails and 710 acres.  I think we saw most of it.

Nice to go and see the elephants before Bob Barker and his posse swoop in and relocate them.  Maybe they can get plywood cut out versions like the animals on the Peterborough Zoo train ride?  Cheap to feed and they don't care about climate!
