Anyone who has read this blog for a certain period of time knows about my adoration of the fall fair. The 180th edition of our local fair is on this weekend and you had better believe we hit that hard today. Our gang was 15+ people with an almost 1:1 child/adult ratio, so we were set for good times. We put in 6 hours with most children under 6 and survived. Fair medal maybe?
Here are some of my favourite shots of the day. (I had over 500 to choose from).
A rare author shot! Yes I did, in fact, purposefully dress my family all in stripes today. Do you know my son Charley and his wandering ways? I've learned stripes = friends, camo = enemy. To clarify, (and justify) no one got lost today.
So many photos today; I've sized them a bit smaller. Click on any shot for a much closer look at the action.
Fairs rule! Lots of them still left this year. May I suggest you get on out to one?: eat some grease, pay too much for rides, feed some goats, smell some cows and have a great time.
