Halloween!

Sorry for the long delay between posts.  Chris took a much needed mental-health drive for a week.  Nothing like working on a house for a year (plus your usual job) to burn someone out.  He has returned feeling chipper and ready to tackle our necessary weather-proofing efforts.  I'm just hoping to downgrade the current draft from 'blow-you-hair' status down to 'brisk and refreshing'.  Could happen!

So, Halloween... It's an understatement to say that this was the year that my kids finally got it.  I mean, they were over-the-moon, bounce off the walls, ready to go.  We planned out a route with our friends, and blew through that in the first 15 minutes.  I've never seen Charley move to fast, and in such a straight line, in his entire life.

He was dressed as Thomas.  Yep, that makes year #3 for that costume and he told me he plans on wearing it forever.  Fine by me.  Sam, at his own request, was Yoda.  He refused face paint, but made a rather cute specimen anyhoo.  Or should I say "cute, he is".

So after a massive haul, we returned, allowed the boys a pick of 2 items, brushed teeth vigorously and send them off for a fitful sleep.

I think the photos sum up the evening quite nicely.

 Eagerness

 Anticipation

 Pride

 Intense, focused gorge

Crushing fatigue, all around.

Ha!  That last shot just cracks me up.  No shots of me, despite the fact that I had a beard painted on tonight, but perhaps one of the other photo takers from this evening will supplement my photo collection, so that I may share it with you.
Happy Halloween to all.
