My parents have a new house. It's so weird! When I was a kid we moved all the time, but they've been in the same place for 16 years, or something. Anyway... they moved into the new, low-maintenance bungalow last week. The dogs are mourning the acres of romp-grounds, but I don't think my dad is missing the prospect of cutting the grass.
I hope they are really happy in the new digs. They have their first set of brand new appliances ever, I think! And no septic system! And 3 pronged plugs! And neighbours.... ewww. Oh well, everyone will adjust soon enough.
The picture above is the boys saying goodbye to the old house. They were caught up in the delight of running around an empty room and didn't quite take in the fact that they won't be going there anymore. Just as well, I think.
Their great place was bought by the son of family friends and I hope that he and his wife will be really happy there.
And if Charley ever shows up there, looking for the hammock, I hope they'll be understanding!
