If you're from Peterborough...

If you, in any way, hail from Peterborough, you know this hill.  Every kid who grew up in that town has rolled down this hill at the zoo.  My kids are no different.  The minute they first laid eyes on it, they knew this was a hill for rollin'.

We went for a visit yesterday and it was no different.  Roll, roll, roll.

When it was time for a breather, I attempted to get a shot of the musketeers together at the top of the hill.

Note to self:  putting Sammy in the foreground is not a great idea.  Giant cannonball head takes over photo...

 Pure cuteness

Also adorable

Henry was in attendance, but hadn't quite made the climb in time for these photos.  He did manage to get his baby limbs going, and ascended the hill eventually. (Impressive!) However, the amount of mucus streaming from his nose kind of erased the cute-factor, and so please enjoy him in the distance here:

Awwww, isn't he cute??

Busy, busy week

Chris has just arrived back after a 9 day trip, so things have been a bit crazy around here.  I'm adding a photo from Easter so that you can see just HOW crazy.

Poor Uncle Ben.  No one should be attacked by that much cute!

Also, can we talk about just how naughty that little boy looks?  Henry went from being a sweet baby to a cheeky little menace overnight.  Good thing he has that dimple.

More to come!

Bouncing baby boy

This cute 4 month old boy has discovered the Jolly Jumper. With sister and cousins in attendance, he put on quite a show for us.

So smug!  Like, he knows the whole world loves his sweet face!  Love Sammy working on the computer in the background.  He probably already posted this...

Sir Henry is not amused

This picture of the new wee one is making me laugh tremendously.  I don't know whether it's a bit of Churchill-itis or the clasping hands or just the fact that he looks so darn displeased with me, but solemn baby photos are always the funniest.  So much scorn for a 2 week old human!

Cute and cuter

I think these pictures capture exactly how Charley feels about this new baby.  He's pretty sure that Henry is his baby brother and was so, so sweet to him.  Who knew?!  I thought he might be a bit cross about another boy (who might like trains) entering the family fold.

Had a nice visit with the Millbrook gang tonight.  As always, I dazzled by Sarah's ability to be calm and collected even during a crazy time.  She's solo parenting this week and doing great.  And that little Henry is about the cutest thing I've seen since... well... the last newborn I saw.  So snuggly and smells good too!

Almost makes me want to have another.  Almost, but not quite.  Cuuuuuuuuuuute!

Yummy!

I was in attendance as this sweet little man arrived today.  Great moment for me, and I think his parents are pretty darn happy too.

My new nephew, Henry Robert Innes Jackson.  8 lbs 8 oz, 21 inches, blond and cute.  Hooray!

Mom was actually 'radiant'.  I didn't think that was a real thing!

Congrats to my wonderful sister Sarah and to Rob and Evy and all the gang.  He's a great addition to the crew.  xo
